Approach

The goal of my involvement in an organisation is always to leave behind full understanding and application capability of information and tools used, to enable sustainable impact.

I design strategies that unlock potential. Through meaningful conversation, you and I achieve insight into the situation of your organisation and your accompanying request. This allows me to analyse the context, hurdles and opportunities, and visualise the missing pieces. Subsequently, I can tailor my advice and support.

The goal of my involvement in an organisation is always to leave behind full understanding and application capability of information and tools used, to enable sustainable impact.

Working with me gives you a sounding board and a critical conversational partner who will reflect and holistically address the business and people strategy. I connect long-term vision to immediate needs and practical solutions.

My approach is embedded in:
1. how the brain works and reacts to its environment,
2. behavioural science, and
3. business strategy approaches from MIT Sloan.

An important consideration herein is that the brain experiences the workplace as a social setting. An employee’s threat response in the brain can for example come from a negative comment by a manager or from not being chosen for a project. The brain will be triggered and hormones secreted, influencing the person’s executive function such as the ability to think of solutions and make decisions effectively.

“The human brain is a social organ. Its physiological and neurological reactions are directly and profoundly shaped by social interaction”(Rock, 2009, p.3)3.

By using the brain-based SCARF model3 for example, I address behaviour that minimizes the threat response and instead facilitates positive reaction. This enables increased team cohesion and collaboration, and effective leadership that positively affects your employees, your organisation and its productivity.
